most of the companies in technopark celebrates onam very proudly!!! its very nice to hear most of the IT companies is technopark celebrates onam . but unfortunately due to recession some companies ( not mension the name here , companies have embedded projects and clients in japan)having employees around 1000 not celebrates onam in this year .but most of the good companies celebrates onam with game show and ona sadhya.most of the companies like e-team,pivot systems, earnst & young and a lot of companies arrange their ona sadhya at cafe@m-squared and some comnanies arrange their programmes and games including their onam sadhya @technopark club. some companies like smart business centre(SBC) in tejaswany building celebrates onam united .most of the companies made " pookkalam " infront of their office and building. some companies in technopark gives 4 days off to their employees to celebrate onam.one company in SBC tejaswiny building gives 8 days off to their employees to celebrate onam.and some company gives 2 days off to their employees.unfortunately some companies are also working in onam day as regular working day.

5 companies give onam specialgift voucher to their employees to celebrate onam.some of the compnanies in nila building technopark provide bonus money too!!!!!!

THE BIG IT COMPLEX OF TECHNOPARK COMING SOON!!!!!!!

The 3-million sq ft building complex will come up on a 25-acre campus at the special economic zone plot adjacent to the existing Technopark campus near here. Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander said 18,000 IT professionals could operate from the comple

Work on the building, to be completed in three phases, is scheduled to begin in September; and the first phase of construction involving 1 million sq ft is expected to be ready for occupation by July 2011. The first phase will also feature a car-parking facility that can accommodate 1,200 vehicles.

Technopark presently has an electricity sub-station for power supply to the new campus and for the adjacent campuses of Infosys and UST Global, while other infrastructure needs including water supply, waste treatment and approach road from the highway are being readied.

Officials said Technopark was also developing the remaining land in the newly-acquired 92-acre Phase-III campus, which could be offered on lease to private developers.

Hon�ble Minister for Forest and Housing Mr Binoy Viswam inaugurated the Tree Planting Campaign in Technopark Campus Mr Binoy Viswam while inaugurating the campaign said that the only answer for Global Warming is planting of more trees and making the globe greener. The Minister mentioned that while global warming during the previous 100 years was only 0.6 degree, it is estimated to be in the range of 6.6 degrees in the next 100 years.

USE OF HELMETS BY TWO WHEELER RIDERS INSIDE TECHNOPARK CAMPUS

As part of Stage I Audit of ISO 14001:2004/ohsas 18001:2007 carried out by TUV SUD South Asia

the Auditors have cited to use helmets for two wheeler riders as a requirement for the road safety as well as for the clearance of certification.

It is noticed most of the two wheeler riders are seen driving the bikes in the campus without helmet. As a precation to avoid

fatal mishaps and as required by the standards, it is necessary to strictly implement usage of helmets while driving two wheelers in the TECHNOPARK TRIVANDRUM CAMPUS.

Kindly all employees to wear helmets while driving

in the campus as well as outside the campus. It will start

implementing this in the campus from 1st August 2009.
